NVIDIA, Foxconn and Taiwan Medical Centers Bring Agentic and Physical AI to ‘Healthy Taiwan’

NVIDIA, Foxconn, and several top medical centers in Taiwan are joining forces to bring agentic and physical artificial intelligence into the country's healthcare system. The initiative, part of the "Healthy Taiwan" program, aims to move beyond basic AI tools toward coordinated AI workforces that can assist clinicians with reasoning, documentation, and care coordination.

Foxconn is leading the deployment of NVIDIA's AI technology across major hospitals in Taiwan. Instead of using separate AI applications for different tasks, the new approach creates interconnected AI agents that work together. These agents can help doctors analyze patient data, write clinical notes, and manage treatment plans more efficiently.

The shift represents a significant change in how AI is used in medicine. Previously, hospitals might have used one AI for reading medical images and another for scheduling appointments. Now, these systems are being combined into a unified network where AI agents communicate with each other and with human staff. This allows for smoother workflows and faster decision-making at the point of care.

Physical AI is also part of the plan. Robots and automated systems powered by NVIDIA's platforms will assist with tasks like moving supplies, cleaning rooms, or guiding patients. These physical agents will work alongside the digital AI agents to reduce the burden on hospital staff.

The collaboration highlights Taiwan's ambition to become a global leader in smart healthcare. By combining Foxconn's manufacturing and integration expertise with NVIDIA's computing power, the project aims to create a model that could be used in other countries. For now, the focus is on improving patient outcomes and making healthcare more responsive in Taiwan's medical centers.
